Monash University was Australia’s hot-bed of radical student politics in the 1960s and early 1970s, notable for its communist leadership and effective mobilization of very large numbers. The struggle there was a model in many ways, and an inspiration to others.
Here’s the book, edited by Mike Hyde and published in 1972, about that struggle.
It is Right to Rebel (1972 book)
Great job!!! Excellent post explains why others should read the book.
I just started doing so and greatly enjoyed being reminded of lessons learned and what a difference it makes to be part of a genuinely radical left movement actually changing the political situation by helping others to learn to think and fight – and how quickly that can spring up from nothing. (Am up to end of the chapter on NLF Aid Campaign ,p50, pdf 29/134).
PS The file is 150MB so do replace the link when Dave sends smaller compressed file. Downloads from readers of a book linking here could be lots of bandwidth.
